Updates from Mnene Mission Hospital, Zimbabwe

Because of your support, a patient receives life-support care. All of the equipment shown was provided by GHM.

Zimbabwe’s rural healthcare facilities face ongoing challenges, including shortages of healthcare workers, medical equipment, electricity, and essential supplies. These challenges make access to quality care especially difficult for families living far from major cities.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zimbabwe, ELCZ, has been serving communities in Zimbabwe for more than 120 years. Healthcare has been an important part of its ministry for more than a century. Global Health Ministries (GHM) has partnered with the ELCZ through our Shipping Ministry since 1994, providing medical supplies and equipment to Mnene Mission Hospital and other ELCZ health facilities.

This year alone, GHM shipped three containers of medical supplies and equipment to Zimbabwe.

Recently, Rev. Elitha Moyo, a GHM partner with the ELCA, visited Mnene Mission Hospital with members of the ELCZ to see the most recent shipment being unloaded and learn more about the hospital’s work.
