GHM is a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening Lutheran health efforts in low- and middle-income countries where Lutheran churches manage hospitals, clinics and community-based outreach. We believe that all people, no matter how remote their village, should have the opportunity to thrive. GHM works at the invitation of our partners in a number of countries around the globe, sharing resources to improve access to health for some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Our strategies include leadership consultations, a wide variety of capacity-building efforts to improve community health, from health education to water and sanitation, and shipping vital medical supplies and equipment to partner hospitals and clinics. Our partners provide comfort and healing to all who come to them, including people of all faiths, or no faith, and those challenged by deep poverty.
