Here are ways you can make a difference:

Warehouse Volunteers (Minnesota)
Help pack medical supplies for shipment overseas - no medical background required! GHM hosts individuals and groups of all ages at our warehouse in Fridley, Minnesota, from corporate groups to youth groups, young adults and seniors.

GHM Consulting (International)
GHM Consultants serve on teams, connecting through Zoom and short international trips to build the capacity of our partners around the globe in multiple areas such as finance, governance, program development, supply chain and inventory management, electricity and water access.

We are seeking experienced professionals who are interested in sharing their expertise to support and strengthen health systems alongside our global partners. Volunteer consultants provide guidance and technical support in areas such as finance, administration, IT/health informatics, quality improvement (QI), governance, monitoring and evaluation, public health, etc.
Consulting opportunities vary depending on the needs of our partners but are often connected to projects within our 16 partner countries around the world.

Global Health Ministries is one of our community partners in Minneapolis, and hundreds of students on YouthWorks mission trips sorted and packed medical equipment that will be shipped around the world to underserved countries. These medical supplies will help some of the most vulnerable people in the world. There’s so much we can do to show God’s love when we partner together 🤝❤️

I joined a feasibility study and needs assessment project in Tanzania. I was genuinely surprised about how much I could contribute and there was huge overlap between my interests and our team’s impact … I was thrilled to support an organization that’s in it for the long haul. My participation both complicated and broadened my worldview, and the principles of our project will be a part of my career going forward.

In 2023, the linen ladies (a group of regular warehouse volunteers) personally prepared 1,501 boxes to be shipped overseas. That’s 43,287 individual items! In total, these women have volunteered 8,946 hours at GHM. What a gift for this ministry, and our partners overseas!

Phebe had asked for partnership assistance from GHM in the areas of management and financial sustainability at the hospital … Magdeline Aagard, GHM’s Director of Consulting pulled together a team including the GHM Director of Finance, Dr. Nary from Madagascar and myself… Our team spent 2 weeks on this initial consultation with Phebe. For me, it helps that I am retired and have flexibility in my schedule. However, a short-term trip like this could be easily managed if you are working.

The team didn’t know each other before the mission, but right at the beginning, we’ve got this “team spirit” allowing us to face obstacles and difficulties during the consultation with grace and patience … the interaction with each staff was an opportunity to know them and to have more information about their job particularly and the work at Phebe in general. This was a time to build them up as well from one-by-one conversation.
