A jack of all trades, the generalist is able to step in wherever is needed around the warehouse! They have a knowledge of everything that happens in the warehouse, and a willingness to learn when they might not know how to accomplish something.  

Receiving volunteers are the first people that a donor and their gift will interact with. They will maintain the receiving area, welcome donors, and enter items into the inventory system.  

Linen volunteers inspect, fold, and box hospital linens, including scrubs, gowns, drapes, sheets, and more! GHM receives donations of new born and hospice kits, and our linen volunteers check them all for quality and their content. 

Do you like sorting items? We can use those skills! Come and volunteer in our rough and fine sorting areas, and help us go through the donations we receive. Sort by category, look for expiration dates, and make sure everything is in order.  

We need volunteers who are biomedical professionals, or related experience, to help us inspect and test medical equipment, including safety checks, convert power to 220v/50hz, and make sure all equipment include accessories, manuals, and spare parts. This position is the most important, and difficult, at GHM. We need you! 

Are you a retired dentist or hygienist? We need you! We need your help to organize dental instruments and hand pieces, repair dental chairs and lights, and more! Join other professionals and help strengthen dental care among our partners overseas! 

Whenever we need to load a container, we need people to help us prep and pack it! Picking and Loading goes through the whole warehouse, gets the boxes that are needed, gets them ready, and then loads the container.  

If you have worked around surgical equipment before, we need your experience! GHM receives donations of all kinds of medical equipment, and we need volunteers to go through these donated items, sort them, package them into kits for procedures, and pack boxes full of them.
