Dear GHM community,
Over the past few weeks the impact of COVID-19 globally has demanded we all make difficult decisions. The situation is literally changing by the hour.
At Global Health Ministries, we are not only focused on ministry around the globe, we also care deeply about our volunteers and staff. Your health and safety have been, and always will be, a top priority. Currently, no one that we know of in the GHM community has been infected. Yet this illness can spread rapidly and the best defense we have is “social distancing” - limiting gatherings of people - to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
Given this, we are shutting down regular operations in the GHM office and warehouse until March 30th, in an effort to help safeguard the health and safety of our volunteers, staff and surrounding communities. This means that our building will be locked and we ask that no volunteers come to the GHM warehouse until March 30.
GHM staff will continue to work remotely and may even be in the office at times, employing strategies to mitigate risks. Please don’t hesitate to contact the office for more/updated details by phone (763) 586-9590 or email firstname.lastname@example.org .
COVID-19 seems to be impacting Europe and North America earlier than Africa, SE Asia and Central America. Yet, our global partners may well face similar challenges in just a few weeks or months. Please watch for more updates from GHM, keep all these things in prayer, and follow the guidance of health professionals including: wash hands frequently, avoid touching your face, cough or sneeze into your elbow to reduce transmission, and stay home as much as possible. (CDC regarding mitigation strategies).
We look forward to seeing you again as soon as we have assurance that it is safe for us to gather again. You will be in our prayers as well for health and safety during this time.
Together in ministry,
