SEFAM Nursing Scholarships (GHM Project #48-E4001).  The Malagasy Lutheran Church offers a three-year nursing training course for 30 carefully selected students, located in Antsirabe. Since the inception of this program in 1988, over 120 nursing students have graduated.  Goal: $33,000

An average of 22 students graduates per 3-year cycle. These nurses have gone on to work in the 7 hospitals and many clinics of SALFA scattered throughout Madagascar. The nursing program has an extremely bright future, having been recognized as having parity with the government nursing schools, having a place set aside in the Andranomadio hospital complex for a nursing school and having a dedicated and talented leader in Dr. Julie.
